Controller - Financial Services

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, his/her main responsibilities are:

• Directs staff responsible for the accounting, budget and forecasting.
• Producing accurate and timely financial reports in accordance with US GAAP and in compliance with section 404 of Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
• Preparing or leading preparation of reports which summarize and forecast business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, assets and liabilities
• Provides and maintains adequate books and records of all financial transactions.
• Coordinates and assists with the annual Business Plan and other interim forecasts as requested by corporate, under the supervision of the Sr Finance Manager.
• Participates in accomplishment of continuous improvement objectives for the department. Participates in the identification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them.
• Ensuring the accounting and compliance policies and practices of the organization are followed;
• Overseeing and evaluating the activities of the accounting staff and providing for their professional development; analyzing and solving accounting problems.
