Reporting to Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis, his/her main responsibilities will be:

  • Directs a staff responsible for the accounting, budget and tax functions.
  • Provides and maintains adequate books and records of all financial transactions.
  • Prepares and distributes on a timely basis report to the Corporate Accounting Department according to US GAAP.
  • Prepares and submits all necessary accounting and tax reporting to meet local needs.
  • Identifies and resolves systems problems and may have leadership role in maintenance of the system.
  • Prepares internal management reports with appropriate analysis and comments, such as the significant figures report and income statement variances reports.
  • Coordinates the annual Business Plan and other interim forecasts as requested by CFSC.
  • Controls and reconciles inter-company billings.
  • Carries out all aspects of local Central Bank reporting requirements.
  • Reports financial information to treasury, real estate, legal, accounting, etc., as required for their external reporting press releases and surveys.
  • Implements changes to meet new or changing accounting or tax regulations.
  • Provides for appropriate audit requirements. Coordinates activities for audit reviews performed by the internal and external auditors.
  • Provides a payroll system, accounts payable and processing of customer contract termination and adjustments. Selects and installs software required to perform the accounting function.
  • Assigns work to the staff, reviews their work, gives feedback to employees to achieve continuous improvement, applies HR practices and policies, and creates a work environment in the department that encourages employee satisfaction and increases productivity.
  • Assists the Managing Director in with HR administration.
  • Participates in accomplishment of continuous improvement objectives for the department.
  • Progress toward accomplishment of these is measured through maintenance of necessary measurements and analysis of associated data.
  • Participates in the identification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them.
  • Understands the Equal Opportunity and Harassment policies of the company, applies them in all aspects of management and maintains an environment, which is consistent with these policies.

  • Thorough knowledge of and advanced ability to apply US GAAP, FASB's, FOGAP.
  • Thorough knowledge of lease, hedge and "foreign currency" accounting.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and methods, internal control procedures, and financial analysis.
  • Advanced knowledge of and the proven ability to interpret various SEC and US GAAP regulations and recommend adjustments when changes occur.
  • Advanced knowledge of and ability to apply math computation skills including basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as statistics and other mathematical concepts used in modeling.
  • Working knowledge of company policies and procedures, company products and customers, and financial procedures as they relate to FPD operations.
  • Thorough knowledge of the area to which the job is assigned.
  • Advanced knowledge of and ability to use the software packages associated with CFSC accounting.
  • Strong decision-making and analytical skills and ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously, with minimal involvement from management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop staff and persuade others to take action.
  • Thorough knowledge of and the advanced ability to provide accurate and timely financial reporting for CFSC, internally and externally.
  • Proven ability to provide accurate and timely information regarding various financial activities and outside government agencies.
  • Thorough knowledge of and the ability to maintain procedures and controls to protect the assets of the company.
  • Proven ability to foster high quality standards driven by company objectives and a strong motivation for continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to maintain an environment conducive to collaboration across business units and job functions.
