Main Responsibilities

  • Provide directions and leadership to the collection team to execute actions to maintain portfolio past due under control.
  • Responsible for the entire modification process, identifying customers having financial distress, offering restructures and payment relief by modifying the contract initial agreement.
  • Approve account modifications and executes documentation within authority.
  • Constant monitoring of portfolio performance and implement corrective action as needed.
  • Develops and nurtures a strong working relationship with Sales, Credit, Operations and Support Departments to achieve portfolio metrics and company results.
  • Oversee entire process of determining past due and potential credit losses ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the process and calculation.
  • Provides feedback to the origination teams based on collections and portfolio management results
  • Monitor repossession activity and work closely with support departments (Asset Management and Special Accounts) to ensure customer accounts are moving timely in the collection effort process.
  • Lead and develop Customer Experience Initiatives to increase loyalty and customer satisfaction.

Skills, Abilities and Knowledge

  • Demonstrated ability to provide management to the collection and customer services processes maintaining the portfolio health while delivering outstanding customer experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of and the advanced ability to apply collection techniques and procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of and the advanced ability to asses credit risk, analyze customer credit summaries and past due accounts.
  • Advance knowledge of credit, sales and customer services concepts and techniques.
  • Thorough knowledge of financing and leasing products
  • Advanced ability to oversee assigned processes providing guidance to colleagues and updates to management.
  • Advanced negotiation skills and knowledge of and the ability to handle complaint resolution on complex issues with limited assistance.
  • Advanced ability to apply effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture positive relationships with external and internal customers


  • A 5-year college or university degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Credit risk .
  • Minimum of 4 years-experience in credit, collections, cash applications, customer services, sales, marketing, documentation, financial statement analysis and/or accounting is recommended.
  • Demonstrated previous leadership.
  • Advance written and oral English skills.
